Its time for another new challenge at Celebrate the Occasion. It's team #1's turn this week and the theme is
"Any Occasion" but it must be blue and white. So this is the project I came up with.
I came across a video from Theresa at Scrappers Anonymous on how to make your own flowers so I thought I would give it a try. The result was fantastic, it was very simple and they turned out beautiful. Can you tell I'm pretty impressed with myself? Theresa did a great how-to video on this so go check it out.
This purse is cut from the Forever Young cart and I did fit-to-page on a 12x12. When put together the purse stands 3.5 in., perfect for a giftcard, earrings, nail supplies, etc. and can be used for many occasions.
Other supplies I used were -- DCWV Cardstock
White ribbon from my stash
Fiskars gift tag squeeze punch
I-rock
MS Embossing powder
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist
Stampin Up ink
Thanks for looking, now head back to CTO and see what the rest of the DT has created and be inspired. We woiuld love for you to come join in on the fun!!

<---Crafter in Training!
Every year my God-daughter,Jenna, comes and spends a few days with us. She has 3 sisters at home so for her, she gets some great one on one and for me I get a young girl to spoil a little:) She usually comes with a list of what she wants to do and lucky for me crafting is always on that list. Mmmm... such a good influence I am LOL!! She wanted to make purses this time and she also wanted to put them on the blog, so here they are. And being the evil aunt , that I am, I made her be in the picture. hee hee !!
We used the Forver Young and Hello Kitty cartridges. The purses I cut at fit to page and the cheerleading kitty is at 3.5 in. I had her pick out the paper she wanted and she picked from the DCWV stacks - Lace & Linen,Greem Tea, and Dots, Stripes & Plaid .
We did lots of other fun things together but I just gotta say, there really is nothing better then sharing your passion with someone who is so special in your life. Love ya, Jenna!!

Paper Playtime #50 -- SUMMER
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! It's time once again for a new challenge at
Paper Playtime. This week our challenge is to make a project related to summertime. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to sit around the campfire and make s'mores.
Over the 4th, I came across a s'mores pail that my sister had given us many years before. Of course, it was empty, but it did give me an idea to redo it and then pass it on to another new camper in the family. So this is what I came up with.
It's a gallon can and I covered it with patterned cardstock, the "Campy Trail's" line by American Crafts. The striped cardstock is from that same paper line, I just love this paper!! I used the Camping Critters cart for the porcupine ( 3 in) and the sign (5.5in). The campfire (1.5in) is from the Old West cart and the letters (.75in) are from the Mickey Font. I wrapped American Craft brown ribbon around the top and bottom of the can and added misc ribbon to the handle. For the lid I cut a 5.5in circle I printed the saying off the computer and cut a scalloped oval with a Nestibilitie. I also added some sticks and marshmallows using the CampOut cart.
Now, I just need to fill it and pass it on, or maybe..... I'll just keep it and put it back where I found it !
Be sure to go back and see what the other designers have created, you'll get lots of inspiration! The challenge is open for 2 weeks so start creating, we'd love to see it!
Happy Craftin'

Flower Thank You card
Labels:
Simply Charmed
Today I was finally able to play in the craft room for alittle bit... uninterrupted. My hubby's been on vacation all week and he's tried his darndest to keep me away from that room. I sent him off to Best Buy so I was good to go for awhile. LOL I was able to get a few things done and I finally did a few challenges, it seem like forever since I've done one of those.
I made this card with a few different challenges in mind. I used the Simply Charmed cart for this flower. I cut 2 at 5.5in, using the real dial, and welded them together with the Gypsy. I then cut two more flowers at 5.25 & 5.00. I spritzed those flowers with water, crumpled them up and then sprayed with a Glimmer Mist to add some sparkle. Then all layers were put toether using SU Dimensionals. Other products I used for this card are as follows...
My Mind's Eye and SU- cardstock
Peachy Keen "Dolly Dumplins" face stamps
SU- ink,ribbon, marker, and sentiment.
I-Rock
The challenges I made this for are:
M.A.G Challenge by the Page- Use Simply Charmed Cart page #39
Peach Keen Stamps Challenge - #19 favorite patterned product and pair up with PK faces
Cricut 360 Challenge Blog - #2 Thank You Card- needs to be a circle

Christmas in July - CTO #21
Labels:
CTO Challenges
Time for a another challenge with Celebrate the Occasion . This week we are celebrating "Christmas in July" and you cannot use the color red. Well, here in Mn we are finally getting 80 degree weather so the thought of Christmas brings back images of the snow and the c o l d..... AGHHHHH!!! Anyway, so here is what I came up with.
This card is 4.25 x 5.5 and is a fairly simple card, no cricut involved, but I loved how it turned out. The cardstock I used is from DCWV and American Crafts. The stars were cut using the Martha Stewart Anywhere punch. I then filled the small stars in with silver and gold Stickles and for the larger stars I used a Viva Decor pen. The sentiment is a rub-on from the "Tis the season" line from Kaiser Krafts and the ribbon I pulled from my stash.
So head on over to CTO and check out what all the other designers have created, you'll be amazed and inspired. We would love to see what you create, so come join in on the fun!!
Happy Crafting!!
