Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! It's time once again for a new challenge at
Paper Playtime. This week our challenge is to make a project related to summertime. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to sit around the campfire and make s'mores.
Over the 4th, I came across a s'mores pail that my sister had given us many years before. Of course, it was empty, but it did give me an idea to redo it and then pass it on to another new camper in the family. So this is what I came up with.
It's a gallon can and I covered it with patterned cardstock, the "Campy Trail's" line by American Crafts. The striped cardstock is from that same paper line, I just love this paper!! I used the Camping Critters cart for the porcupine ( 3 in) and the sign (5.5in). The campfire (1.5in) is from the Old West cart and the letters (.75in) are from the Mickey Font. I wrapped American Craft brown ribbon around the top and bottom of the can and added misc ribbon to the handle. For the lid I cut a 5.5in circle I printed the saying off the computer and cut a scalloped oval with a Nestibilitie. I also added some sticks and marshmallows using the CampOut cart.
Now, I just need to fill it and pass it on, or maybe..... I'll just keep it and put it back where I found it !
Be sure to go back and see what the other designers have created, you'll get lots of inspiration! The challenge is open for 2 weeks so start creating, we'd love to see it!
Happy Craftin'
