Shaped Card

I started out making this card  for 2 different challenges, one was to make a shaped card and the other was to use the Life's a Beach cart. Well.... I'm having one of those days and I think I have a case of CRS (can't remember s***)   I don't know who belongs to the Life's a Beach challenge, so if you can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated  LOL!
I do know that the shaped card challenge belongs to My Craft Spot, in fact, I  got the idea of the window card card from there.  I love her blog you should really check it out.
This card was really a challenge but I love how it turned out.
Recipe for card:  Life's a Beach cart
                          Stampin Up scalloped punch
                          black gel pen
                          Darice Bamboo cord
                          white sewing thread
the sentiment is computer generated and printed on cardstock.
The Life's a Beach challenge-  Scrappy Mom's Stamps
***  Thanks Kelly G. for helping me out

Celebrate the Occasion CH# 15- Retirement

It's time once again for the  DT #1 at Celebrate the Occasion  to do the challenge. This week, the challenge is all about Retirement, a day we all look forward to... at least I do. lol
I wanted to try something new so I'm using a digi stamp and also an easel card.
The base is cut at 5.5 x 11 in., scored at 5.5 and 8.25.  The digi stamp is from Sliekje Digi Stamps and colored with SU watercolor pencils. It's my first attempt, so please  be kind :).
The paper used is from SU and DCWV, sentiment is
computer generated, the buttons are SU, the borders are EK punches and I also used the Cindy Loo cart.

Thanks for looking!

May Sketch

It's time once again for our monthly sketch from Shannon at The Scrapping Stamper.

This layout is of our first trip  to our property for this year. We can't wait for summer to begin so more of our time can be spent there.
The paper used for this layout is the Camping Trails line from American Crafts.  I came across it at my LSS and had to have it, love it! The carts used  were George and Basic Shapes for the circle and CampOut for the pinecones. The letters are from from the Country Carnival Imagine cart that I used with  the E2.I don't have the Imagine but bought  2 carts, got them on Ebay for less then $20, to try on the E2.  Not to sure  if I like, I'll have to play with it more The journaling I did on the computer and cut into strips.
.

Had alot of fun with this sketch now head on over to Shannon's blog and see what the other designers came up with.
Have a great weekend!!

Masculine Birthday Card

Yesterday was my husbands birthday.  Last year he bought an old International utility tractor and is pretty proud of it.  A few weeks ago he came across a straw hat and had to buy it cuz  "if you have a tractor, you gotta have a hat". LOL
O.k., so now, I thought he was still missing something, so for his birthday I had to finish off his look so  I got him some overalls. He thought these were the best , oh no...what did I start.

So, now for his birthday card, I thought this was only fitting. Happy Birthday, honey!!

The recipe for the card is:
EveryDay PaperDolls - tractor and farmer
DCWV, Bazzill, Stampin Up - cardstock
SU - sentiment stamps, ink and scallopped circle punch
    Bakers Twine
    Martha Stewart flocking

I'll be submittng this card to the Cricut Cardz Challenge -  Masculine card using something with wheels

My Happy Place

In honor of National ScrapBooking Day  the Cricut Circle blog is doing an awesome giveaway. The catch is that we had to take a picture of our scrappin' space in our homes and WE had to be in it. As scrapbookers, we all know, we are NEVER in the pictures, we're always taking them!  So I made my hubby get behind the camera.    Here is my happy place.... it's  a little messy, but hey....that's when I'm the happiest :)

Celebrate the Occasion CH# 13

It's Tuesday and time for another  challenge at  Celebrate the Occasion.    This week we are celebrating weddings and with the wedding season upon us its time to start planning.  The challenge is to make a project that has to do with weddings and you must use a ribbon.

This is a standard A2 card. The silhouette is from the Wedding solutions cart. The scalloped oval is cut using an oval nestabilitie and then embossed with a CB folder. The paper, ink, and vellum is from Stampin Up. I also embossed the vellum with a CB border folder.  I then used a Viva Decor Glitter pen  to add  a little sparkle to the bride and on the embossed areas. The  bow I found in my stash and the stamp is from Inkadinkado.

Head on over the CTO and get inspired by all the other DT members, they are full of talent and great ideas.  Make sure you create your own project and enter it into the weekly drawing, at the end of the month a cartridge will be given away.  Good Luck!!

Paper Playtime # 45 - Tall Card

Happy Monday everyone!!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a great Mother's Day.
It's time once again  for a new challenge at Paper Playtime.   The challenge for this week is to make a tall card, the measurements being 4 x 9 . I'm so used to making the standard A2 cards, so this was nice to change it up a little bit.
With graduations creeping up all around us, I thought it would a good time to  start making grad cards.

I decided to make a pocket on the inside of the card for either a gift card or money.  That seems to be our regular gift for the graduate, money always seems to be on top of their lists.
The recipe for this card is:
        Hello Kitty Greetings
        Plantin Schoolbook
        MS Embossing powder
        Sew Easy and floss
        Congrats CB folder
        white gel pen
        DCWV cardstock

Thanks for looking! Now, head back to Paper Playtime and see what the rest of the designers created, you'll be sure to get all sorts of inspiration. This challenge goes for 2 weeks ,so start creating and then post it so we can see what you've created.

Graduation

Graduations are just around the corner and I thought would get a head start with cards.   It just happens to be the challenge over at Celebrate the Occasions.    Unfortunately it's not my week, as a designer, but I thought it would still be fun to still do the challenge.

The recipe for this card is:
   Paper Dolls Everday
   DCWV
   Bazzill
   Sew Easy Thread
   Stampin Up ink
   Not sure about the stamp
   Peachy Keen Stamps

Thanks for looking!   Head on over to CTO  and join in on the fun.
