PeachyKeen Stamp Challenge- Summer Destinations
For this challenge you needed to create a card or layout based on you favorite summer destination and needed to include one of the 3B's, buttons, brads or bling. I did a layout of my grandson, Philip, with his first fish caught. It was caught at our favorite place, StoneyBrook, and spent with our favorite little people, our grandkids.
Throwback Thursday Challenge
The ThrowBack Thursday challenge this week was to make a card for your favorite holiday using the Wild Card cart. Being I do not own this one I had to improvise. For the moon and Santa/sleigh I used Christmas Noel, the snow hills are from Everyday PaperDolls and for the houses I used Handyman. Looking at the card, can you guess what my favorite holiday is ??

My CHA purse
My Sil , Tina, and I will be going to the CHA Super Show in Rosemont, Ill at the end of the month. This will be the first time for both so we're going to do it up right. We thought of flying out there but then realized that that would take all the fun out of it. So we decided that we'd take a little road trip instead. We got together this past week, made some hotel reservations, planned our route and found some scrapbbook stores , to stop at, along the way. We are both fiskateers, #6811 & #5736, and want to show some fiska-pride while we're road trippin' so we are looking at accessorizing in Green and Orange. Tina came across these green satchels at Target and we decided to dress them up a little bit. This is what I did to mine, I can't wait to see what she did with hers!!

Vacation
We had the the week off and now I'm sad to say that its back to work tomorrow?? We spent alot of time up at our property in Pequot Lakes. We relaxed, worked, shopped, visited , crafted, drank....we just had a great week!!! But all good things must come to an end and back to the real world we go. But I must be grateful that we do have jobs to go back to and its because of those jobs that we were able to enjoy what we do have.

Labels:
Cuttin Up Cart,
Iron-on Vinyl
I was at a swarm awhile back and a lady demonstrated how to add designs to t-shirts , bags, etc with fabric paint , vinyl and your cricut. This is my first attempt. I used the Cuttin Up cart for the lettering and cut it out of the vinyl, took the backing off and stuck it onto the t-shirt, making sure it was all adhered. Using a little foam paint brush I then painted the lettering. Once thepaint was dried I removed the vinyl and this is the result. I thought they turned out pretty good.

NSD Rak
I love to receive prizes in the mail! On Friday I came home from work to find some "happy mail" for me on the table. It was from fellow fiskateer, Laura #5939, and I had won her RAK on National Scrapbooking Day. I have never won a rak before so when I opened this up I was completely blown away, I couldn't believe all the stuff that she sent me. I was very happy girl :)

Husbands Birthday
My husband's birthday was on Tuesday the 18th and I was trying to come up with a fun card for him. So I sat in my craft room, thought about it for a bit and it came to me. Last weekend he spent the weekend up north, on our land, with a his friend Pat. He left with a shotgun, some ammo and the determination to get that beaver, that had staked a claim in our stream. He came home, beaver still alive , but the dam that it had built was destroyed. What a man I have!! So that was the inspiration for this card, his reaction was priceless !
